As Christmas draws closer and closer, thoughts of those closest to us – family, friends, and the people who make a difference in our lives come to mind.
This year has been particularly difficult for all of us. Many have suffered many losses. And most precious of all, the loss of loved ones from a virus that has impacted everyone worldwide so dramatically. Still, many will be planning for Christmas Day! Shopping for that perfect gift and visiting grocery stores to plan that spectacular Christmas dinner. Count your blessings if you can purchase gifts you’ll share and the elements that will make that wonderful Christmas meal. But, remember those less fortunate for there are many. It is during this time of the year especially now, that our hearts soften and many display a desire towards helping others. Show kindness and include them with what you’ve been blessed with.
The birth of a baby born thousands of years ago, offer hope and solace for the days to come. It is in this spirit, especially for this Christmas, that we pray your sadness is melted away, that you are comforted by the peace and consolidation that you need, and that soon, you’ll be able to walk into the New Year with purpose and joy.
As we come together, let us remember to celebrate and reflect on the reason for the season: God’s perfect gift to mankind: His only Son, Jesus Christ. Whether you celebrate or not, the season offers all of us something to think about: reflection, gratitude, kindness, and goodwill to others.
Sending lots of love to your family, and looking forward to the day we can see you again. So, from our bubble to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas holiday. Take care of yourselves, your family and stay safe.
