Last weekend, I enjoyed a musical production called ‘Give This Christmas Away‘. And as the skits were performed and the choirs sang, I was once again reminded just how special this time of year truly is. It’s a time when generally most people are kind to one another. More giving, more patient, more loving. I couldn’t help wonder why we can’t be this way all the time. As the play progressed and the Nativity scene was brought to life, the majesty of it all brought tears to my eyes just thinking about what it might have been like all those years ago. Yes, we can ‘Give This Christmas Away‘. We can give of ourselves, we can be more kind, we can give more love – we can.
Let us keep the never ending meaning of Christmas a time of year to wish happiness and good will to friends and loved ones, near and far (and strangers too)… The time to share the joys of the past and the hopes of the future, and to remember all we have to be thankful for. If we can do this for a season, why not always? Remember, this beautiful holiday that love makes all things possible. Let us keep what the true spirit of Christmas is all about – today, tomorrow and forever.
